Rising to the Sun

Rising to the Sun
steeping noise, hollowed voices
a ghost through fog, dense roads
barring the leaves fallen to their own crackle
drenched surface
nothing leaves footprints on an entrance
the gate creaks
before a new dawn
in complete envelope
of reclining hand in hand before fire
I sit and try to smile
more than usual
and play word games
find adjectives no more, nouns unknown
it must be the shrill of winter
I am waiting for
among thousand hundred naps
where among those memories
where among those paths
all those obvious talks, songs
a crescent moon of one's own continent
grows out, fades in birches unspent
in quarters where birds won't long fly
all the worries left
becoming a season, cold and misty
a silhouette of hills, grey horizon
limpid mesh of branches
rough contours of rocks and
relearning to climb.

Mind is a River

I am leading between breaths there is life
***
when something says a dance out of my mind how longer I have been here

***
I don't pluck out ray out of sky, it comes eventually
***
mind is a river flowing in deep meditation an aura around my head

What You are - Defining it

When we are jostling with different questions regarding our social behavior for bigger issues such as women empowerment, social life, I ponder why there is such prejudice. Are we responsible? Not the absurdity to look down at any woman with constricted views of household or community values is deriding us of important decisions and self assertion.

When in society be local or abroad, we confirm to certain beliefs. We carry with us certain traditions which are well respected and if not, can be collaborated with certain evidence that are acknowledged given a case. Certain new theories are often forming and laws are often modified to include the evolving practices anywhere for men and women alike.

Thus, what are these entities. Having an ideology such as Gandhism can help a humanitarian do job anywhere in the world. Confirming to professional etiquette, the diseases are easily diagnosed with exception of long-formed personal habits. Vast experience in certain field or valuable upbringing c…

Least Minimal Good for Better Future

We are out, now. In places, all over city, or country. We often notice when we are outside, how civic amenities are making life feasible. Five years back, it was not the case. There were definite office and public hours. Mobiles made communication possible, yet services were limited. One could not get proper bedding and food at hotels.

Even now, some most popular tourist spots have poor accommodation infrastructure. If the weather would unpredictable, we were often stranded in traffic. Some travel spots were limited to boys/men only. Transport was not superior as now when we can hire a cab to any location.

When the time has changed now, don't we find ourselves pointing out faults in people, system and places. Sometimes pinches us, like sight of garbage, movement of animals, display of election campaigns and ads.

I concur nothing can change by our will but we can change a little that can help inculcate our attitude and expectations from others.

We should contribute a little towards ge…

With This Will

There's nothing to conquer in this sky,
and it's not theirs nor ours
if it's cut enough to be your roof,
tight as mist around,
transpires to shed inhibition,
completely takes in its horizon,
dark and darkest burning misery and tears,
that there is no fear
of losing the Earth beneath
not adopting your dream feathers
always insistent, rather camouflages well
with each uphill task in desire,
with this will
you've become free,
free of everything.

The jumbled words
of speeches, system, materialistic world
harrowed voices, the stridor,
symptom of the cold
will no longer be
a being.
Loktantra, its strong roots
deep into the precipice of Mother Earth
will hold
every stem cell,
will stand tall
like a shade, a pillar,
looking into the eternity
and
vice versa.

Envisage

the sky has eyes
grey undulating sea
when I rise
to the blink

sheaf of papers
make noise
I do not find words
between

since sky
in this moment
I have to be
vine on a tree

looking down
there is nothing
not even
shadow of stars

this perfume
I can only envisage
before the wind scatters
from where I stood

A Visit to Lake - (For Now)

Early last month, the sense was chaotic. On contrast watching people go to their businesses on a relatively cloudy day, a sudden thrush was beginning of climate change in this region, I was unsure of visiting lake (artificially developed) Sector 42, Chandigarh.

The nature has serenity, there is little excuse for a poet. Few timid steps were to escape the formalities like greeting at entrance or stand before marvelous structures, nevertheless I am ardent devotee of Chandigarh architecture. Nothing further let me escape a heron's silent walk across grass, fresh cut grass, water seeping beneath a bridge and ignoring the oblivion an honest urge to reach the waters first.

The lake as it is stood beautiful without a reflection of clouds or sky, bounded by sitting platform which one reminds of comfort and invigorating view. Otherwise undulating with one so serene, from the uppermost platform the eye travels from this shore to last filled with hues. The poem has to be born and "For No…
